The apartment "Chamois A" overlooks a tranquil garden and benefits from a balcony with views to Brevent and along the Chamonix Valley. Four people can sleep comfortably in the double bedroom and in the lounge furnished with two single sofa beds. The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic electric hob, combination oven, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, electric kettle and coffee maker and is well stocked with utensils. After a hard day on the slopes you can relax in front of the LCD TV watching DVDs or TV programmes. The apartment has undergone refurbishment including redecoration, new floors and new furniture.

Tout était parfait

Tout était parfait pour un superbe séjour en famille à Chamonix chez Alexander. Appartement très calme (donne sur le jardin) et proche de toutes les commodités de la ville et des montagnes. Appart très propre et hôte prévenant et très ponctuel. Merci Alex!

Demasiado pequeña para 4 personas

El apartamento no estaba mal, y el espacio está muy bien aprovechado. Alex es una persona muy amable, con el que no tuvimos ningún problema. Pero el tamaño del apartamento no es suficiente para 4 personas, ya que hay que sacar la cuarta cama de debajo del sofá ocupando de esta forma todo el espacio del apartamento. Muy bien situada. Ideal para 2 personas.

Great location

The apartment is brillantly located right in front of the main bus station where you can take the free buses that take you to all the ski resorts / lifts in the chamonix valley. This is critical to avoid walking in your ski boots and carrying your skis all over the town. The apartment is very small but has everything you need. We were a couple with two kids, and with some organization managed to get along. Alex was very helpful providing guidance and a few tips. Would go back if I have the chance.

Clean, compact, comfortable, modern, central to town and slopes. Ideal for skiing.

The apartment is perfectly situated opposite Chamonix Sud bus station for easy access to all the ski resorts. This is a real bonus because you don't have to walk far in your ski boots! The walk to the Main Street takes 5 minutes and on your way you pass a host of restaurants for eating out. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage girls, the apartment is compact and perfect for sleeping, breakfast and then going out. The sofa bed provides to separate full sized beds so there was squabbling by the kids over the bed. Wifi, which is a basic human need for the kids, worked brilliantly. There's also a tv although we were never in long enough to use it. The kitchen is perfectly small, we cooked a few times and we were able to rustle up some basic meals using the 2 hobs and combi oven. Despite the lack of snow we still skied everyday at Grand Montets, Brevent, Flegere where the pistes were really well prepared each night to keep the resort going. In summary, we'll definitely return to Chamonix and we would have no reservations staying here again. Alex was an excellent host who made the arrival and departure as simple as it could be. So long as you are not expecting acres of living space, this is great apartment for location, value for money and comfort.

Our pre Christmas, Winter Wonderland Holiday

On arrival, the owner Alex, greeted us at the front of the building and accompanied us to the apartment. he was very thorough in explaining where everything was in the apartment and how all of the equipment worked, such as the wifi, tv, microwave, dishwasher, etc... The apartment was clean, neat and well laid out and as we were to find out, central to everything Chamonix has to offer. The cable car to get you to Aiguille du Midi is as described, just two minutes walk from the front door. If you arrive in your own car, there is a small parking area at the front of the apartment building. If there are no places, you can put the car's hazard lights on and get everything out of the car with ease. For longer term parking, there is an underground, secure car park with key fob access which is easy to use, warm during the colder nights and again two minutes from the apartment. Everything about the apartment and facilities was good. Alex made sure we knew information to contact him for any reason. The centre of Chamonix is less than ten minutes walk away with plenty of supermarkets (Casino or Super U). Whilst we were there 'Spar' didn't seem to be ready to open and remained closed up. There's a good mixture of independent fashion boutiques, an abundance of sports orientated shops and a good mixture of souvenir shops. Although closed when we were at the apartment, a Bowling alley is across the road as is the bus station. Overall, this is a property my wife and I would recommend short or long stay holiday.

Great location and perfectly functional

I have just spent a week in Chamonix with my wife and my 6 yo son and the apartment has been perfect. The building is very spartan but well maintained, however the apartment is very cosy and well furnished. Space is optimised so that even with abundant clothes, we manged to keep it clean and tidy. We were initially concerned about the absence of a standard oven but then we realised that the combo micro/conventional oven is very practical. The mattress is amazingly comfortable; it is the best treat after a day hiking or physical exercise in general. The location is central but far enough from pubs and restaurant to have a quiet sleep at night. The fast internet connection and the cable TV allowed as maintaining contact with the rest of the world and the landlord offered all support we needed.

Perfect accommodation in ideal location

Great accommodation, clean, well equipped, suitable for couple with small family. Suitable for up to 4 people with loads of space in the main living area. Bedroom cosy but airy with loads of space to place your belongings. Kitchen was big enough to allowcooking of dinners for 4 people with cooker, toaster, kettle, coffee maker,dishwasher and a fantastic combi oven. Location was brilliant, right beside the main bus station in Chamonix South. (Buses don't do further into the town now). 2 minutes walk to main pedestrian zone and Aguille d'midi cable car and train station. Excellent bus access from right outside the front door. Supermarket 2 minutes from the apartment and others with 5-10 minutes. Bowling alley located next door for child entertainment when raining Apartment also comes with excellent wifi connection, Tv and dvd player. Owners spoke good English and were very helpful. All information regarding Chamonix was provided on arrival as well as tourist cards for free transport on the local bus network. Owners were very accommodating regarding arrival and leaving times. Great little spot which we will definitely be returning to. Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers
